Municipal Waste
Picture Shape Vinyl

Listening notes

Municipal Waste's Picture Shape Vinyl, released in 2023 on Demons Run Amok Entertainment (catalog number DRA 208), is a two-track vinyl release carrying the band's characteristic blend of punk, rock, and thrash. The release presents two tracks: "You're Cut Off" on the A-side and "Unholy Abductor" on the B-side.

As a picture shape vinyl, the format itself is the defining characteristic worth noting here. Rather than a standard circular pressing, picture shape vinyl is die-cut into a custom shape, a format that has a long tradition as a collectible object within the broader vinyl market. Demons Run Amok Entertainment, the issuing label, carries the release under catalog number DRA 208.

The two-track configuration positions this release somewhere between a conventional single and an EP, offering a concise pairing of material from a band whose genre footing spans punk, rock, and thrash. Track durations are not confirmed for either selection.

For collectors and cataloguers working within vinyl reference, the picture shape format and the specific catalog designation DRA 208 are the most reliable anchors for identification purposes. The 2023 release year situates the pressing within a broader period of sustained collector interest in specialty vinyl formats across multiple genres.
