Negative Plane
Stained Glass Revelations

Listening notes

Negative Plane's *Stained Glass Revelations*, released in 2022 on The Ajna Offensive (catalog number FLAME59), is a three-sided vinyl release catalogued under black metal and rock. The format designation — listed as Vinyl, Vinyl, All Media — points to a multi-component release, though the specifics of any accompanying media are not detailed here.

The record's ten tracks span a considerable range of durations, and that variance is worth noting on its own terms. Side A opens with "The Fall," a brief two-minute-and-twenty-five-second piece, before moving into the extended "Lamentations & Ashes" at seven minutes and two seconds and "Angels Of Veiled Bone" at eight minutes and four seconds. A second short piece, "The Third Hour," closes the side at one minute and forty-nine seconds. Side B follows a similar structural logic: "The One And The Many" runs eight minutes and twenty-nine seconds, while "Charnel Spirit" interrupts at just one minute and thirteen seconds before "All Souls" closes the side at nine minutes and forty-eight seconds — the second-longest track on the record.

Side C carries the album's title material. "The Number Of The Word" opens at eight minutes and twenty seconds, followed by "Stained Glass Reflections" at two minutes and forty-seven seconds. The closing title track, "Stained Glass Revelations," runs eleven minutes and thirty seconds, making it the longest piece on the record and giving the album its structural endpoint.

Taken together, the sequencing places shorter tracks at deliberate intervals throughout, and the full runtime across three sides is substantial. The Ajna Offensive, the releasing label, is a known entity in underground metal. Beyond these structural and logistical facts, this draft does not speculate further.
