Nekrokrist SS
Der Todesking

Listening notes

Nekrokvist SS released *Der Todesking* on the Primitive Reaction label in 2013, catalogued as PR 037. The record is a vinyl release categorized under black metal and rock, comprising seven tracks spread across two sides.

The A-side opens with "Perkeleestä Syntynyt" and continues through "Crematory Hymn (Burn In Hell)" and "Satan Calls Your Name" before closing with "Kuolontanssi." The Finnish-language titles on the A-side — "Perkeleestä Syntynyt" and "Kuolontanssi" — sit alongside English-language tracks, pointing to a bilingual approach carried through the record. The B-side carries three tracks: "Vala," "Kirous," and the title track "Der Todesking," which takes its name from the German phrase for "the death king" and closes the record.

The album title itself, drawn from German, introduces a third language into the material alongside the Finnish and English titles elsewhere on the tracklist. That the closing track shares its name with the album suggests it holds some programmatic or thematic significance within the sequence, though the nature of that relationship is a matter for the listener to consider.

Primitive Reaction, the Finnish label that issued the record, has been associated with underground black metal releases, and the PR 037 catalog number places this release within a documented sequence of label output.

Track durations are not confirmed in the available data and have been omitted accordingly. Readers seeking additional information on personnel, pressing variants, or related releases are encouraged to consult primary sources or the label directly.
