Serato Official Control Vinyl - Happy Holidays 2019 - DJ Promo

Listening notes

Released in 2019 on Serato Pressings, the Serato Official Control Vinyl – Happy Holidays 2019 – DJ Promo is a non-music vinyl release categorized under the DJ tool and control vinyl format. The release carries no conventional artist attribution and lists no catalog number, reflecting its functional rather than commercial purpose.

The record contains a single listed track, "Serato Control Tone," located on the A side, with no running time documented. As the title and genre classification indicate, this is a control vinyl release associated with Serato's digital vinyl system, a technology used by DJs to manipulate digital audio files through the physical movement of a record on a turntable. Control tone records of this type serve as an interface medium between analog hardware and digital software rather than as conventional musical recordings.

The "Happy Holidays 2019" designation and the DJ Promo notation in the title suggest this pressing was produced as a seasonal promotional item distributed to DJs rather than offered through standard retail channels. The specific scope and terms of that distribution are not documented in the available information.

Serato Pressings is listed as the issuing label, consistent with the practice of Serato releasing branded control vinyl under its own imprint. The format is standard vinyl, though no additional specifications regarding size, weight, or speed are available from the verified data.

Because this release falls within the non-music genre classification and exists as a functional DJ tool with a promotional designation, it occupies a distinct niche within vinyl documentation — one that sits outside conventional discographic analysis focused on musical content, performances, or production. Its place in a vinyl reference context is primarily one of completeness and historical record-keeping for DJ equipment and Serato product history.
