Traktor Scratch Control Vinyl MK2 Clear

Listening notes

Released in 2014 by Native Instruments under catalog number NI-21810, the Traktor Scratch Control Vinyl MK2 Clear is a clear vinyl pressing catalogued under the genres Non-Music and Technical. It is a functional tool rather than a conventional music release, belonging to the Traktor Scratch line of timecode control records used in conjunction with Native Instruments software.

The record is a two-sided disc. The side designated "Other Side" carries a total duration of twelve minutes and contains eleven untitled tracks, listed as positions A1 through A11. The side designated "This Side" runs seventeen minutes and contains sixteen untitled tracks, listed as positions B1 through B16. The asymmetry in track count between the two sides — eleven versus sixteen — and the difference in total running time are among the few structural details that distinguish the two sides as catalogued. The individual tracks carry no listed durations, with only the aggregate side totals provided in the available data.

The tracklist entries are untitled throughout, which is consistent with the functional nature of control vinyl, where groove content serves a technical rather than musical purpose. No artist credit is assigned to this release.

As a reference entry, this pressing is notable primarily for its format specifications: a clear vinyl variant of the MK2 series, issued by Native Instruments, a company associated with DJ and production software and hardware. Beyond what is documented here — label, catalog number, year, format, side durations, and track positions — no additional verified details are available in the current dataset, and this draft should be reviewed accordingly before publication.
