Pentacle
Spectre Of The Eight Ropes

Listening notes

Pentacle's *Spectre Of The Eight Ropes* was released on vinyl in 2019 through Iron Pegasus Records, carrying the catalog number I.P.098. The release is cataloged under the genres of Death Metal and Rock, placing it within a label roster that has long maintained a focus on underground heavy music.

The record is structured across two sides, each carrying four tracks. The A-side opens with "Behold...Denial, Despair And Cruelty" and continues through "I Christen Thee Doom!," "Now Spit Forth Death," and "Blessed By Fire." The B-side follows with "The Fury Of Retribution," "Mesmerizing Depths Of The Abyss," "Bound By Death's Ropes," and "(Emerging From) A Sea Ablaze." Track durations are not available in the current documentation.

The track titles themselves lean heavily into the kind of confrontational, death-laden imagery long associated with the Death Metal tradition, with phrasing that evokes ritual, destruction, and finality throughout. The album title, *Spectre Of The Eight Ropes*, continues in that vein, suggesting a thematic coherence that runs across both sides of the record.

Iron Pegasus Records, the German imprint that issued this release, has operated as a consistent presence in the underground metal vinyl space since the 1990s. The catalog number I.P.098 places this release well into the label's catalog history, reflecting a sustained output over multiple decades.

Collectors and researchers should note that track durations, personnel, and pressing details are absent from the verified documentation for this entry and should be confirmed through primary sources before publication.
