Powerwolf
Call Of The Wild

Listening notes

Powerwolf's *Call Of The Wild*, released in 2021 on Napalm Records, arrives in this vinyl box set configuration under catalog number NPR976VINYLBOX. Spanning six sides across what the tracklist structure indicates are at least three records, the package is organized into three distinct sections: *Call Of The Wild*, *Missa Cantorem*, and *Symphony Of The Wild*.

The first two sides present the core album. Side A opens with "Faster Than The Flame" at 4:08 and continues through five tracks, including "Beast Of Gévaudan," "Dancing With The Dead," "Varcolac," and "Alive Or Undead." Side B carries six tracks, closing out with "Reverent Of Rats" at a concise 2:54.

The *Missa Cantorem* section occupies sides C and D, offering ten additional tracks. These include titles drawn from across the band's catalog — "Sanctified With Dynamite," "Demons Are A Girl's Best Friend," "We Drink Your Blood," and "Resurrection By Erection" among them — and concludes with "Saturday Satan," the longest track in the set at 5:20.

Sides E and F comprise *Symphony Of The Wild*, which presents orchestral versions of the ten tracks from the main *Call Of The Wild* album. The sequence mirrors sides A and B closely, with runtimes that run marginally longer than their source counterparts in most cases.

Across all six sides, the box set accounts for thirty-six individual track listings, including the three untimed section header entries. The genres listed are heavy metal, power metal, and rock. Beyond the structural and sequencing information the tracklist provides, further details about this release — including packaging contents, pressing specifications, and edition variants — would require independent verification before publication.
