Rainbow
Finyl Vinyl

Listening notes

Rainbow's *Finyl Vinyl*, released on Polydor (catalog number 827 987-2 YH), is a CD compilation drawing from the hard rock and rock catalog of Rainbow. The release spans thirteen tracks and runs a considerable total length, anchored by some of the most recognizable titles associated with the band.

The tracklist opens with "Spotlight Kid" at just over six minutes and moves through a varied sequence that includes "I Surrender," "Miss Mistreated," "Jealous Lover," and "Can't Happen Here" across the first half of the program. "Since You Been Gone," "Bad Girl," and "Stone Cold" follow, alongside "Power" and "Difficult To Cure," the latter running to eleven minutes and fifteen seconds — the longest track on the release. The compilation closes with three extended performances: "Man On The Silver Mountain" at eight minutes and sixteen seconds, "Long Live Rock 'n' Roll" at seven minutes and eight seconds, and "Weiss Heim" at five minutes and fifteen seconds.

In total, the thirteen tracks reflect a broad sweep of material associated with the band across the hard rock genre, with individual track lengths suggesting that at least some of the content may be drawn from live or extended sources rather than standard studio edits — though the verified facts available here do not confirm this either way, and a fact checker should investigate the nature of each track before publication.

The release year for this Polydor CD edition is not confirmed in the available data and should be verified before publication. Collectors and researchers consulting this entry should treat the catalog number 827 987-2 YH as the primary identifying reference point for this specific pressing until additional documentation can be sourced.
