Rainbow
Finyl Vinyl

Listening notes

Rainbow's Finyl Vinyl was released on Polydor in 2006 as a two-disc CD set, catalogued under UICY-6376/7, and falls within the hard rock and rock genres. The release compiles fifteen tracks drawn from the band's catalog, spread across two discs with a combined running time that extends well past the ninety-minute mark.

Disc one opens with "Spotlight Kid" at just over six minutes and moves through a sequence of nine tracks that includes "I Surrender," "Miss Mistreated," "Street Of Dreams," "Jealous Lover," "Can't Happen Here," the extended "Tearin' Out My Heart" at eight minutes and five seconds, "Since You Been Gone," and "Bad Girl." The disc's sequencing places shorter and longer pieces in alternation throughout.

Disc two leads with "Difficult To Cure," the set's longest track at eleven minutes and thirteen seconds, followed by "Stone Cold," "Power," "Man On The Silver Mountain" at eight minutes and eighteen seconds, "Long Live Rock 'n' Roll" at seven minutes and seven seconds, and closing with "Weiss Heim" at five minutes and twelve seconds. The second disc's selection leans toward lengthier performances, with four of its six tracks running past seven minutes.

The Polydor imprint and the Japanese catalog number format suggest this particular edition was issued for the Japanese market, though collectors and researchers should independently verify regional distribution details and any accompanying documentation, as those specifics are beyond what the available data confirms.

As an unreviewed draft, all details above should be checked against original release documentation before publication.
