Rainbow
Finyl Vinyl

Listening notes

Rainbow's *Finyl Vinyl* was released on CD by PolyGram in 2001 under catalog number UICY-9198/9. Classified under hard rock and rock, the release is spread across two discs and presents fifteen tracks drawn from the band's catalog.

Disc one opens with "Spotlight Kid" at just over six minutes and moves through a sequence that includes "I Surrender," "Miss Mistreated," "Street of Dreams," and "Jealous Lover" before reaching "Can't Happen Here" and "Tearin' Out My Heart," the latter running to eight minutes and eight seconds. The disc closes with "Since You Been Gone" and "Bad Girl."

Disc two leads with "Difficult to Cure," which at eleven minutes and nineteen seconds is the longest track on the release by a considerable margin. It is followed by "Stone Cold," "Power," and then a trio of extended performances to close the set: "Man on the Silver Mountain" at eight minutes and nineteen seconds, "Long Live Rock 'n' Roll" at seven minutes and eleven seconds, and "Weiss Heim" at five minutes and thirteen seconds.

The combined runtime across both discs is substantial, with the second disc in particular weighted toward longer individual tracks. The sequencing places the majority of the shorter pieces on disc one and reserves the extended material largely for disc two.
