Listening notes

Rainbow's *Finyl Vinyl*, released on Polydor (catalog number 827 987-2), is a CD compilation drawing from the band's catalog across the classic rock, hard rock, and rock genres. The release brings together thirteen tracks with a combined running time that spans well over an hour, offering a substantial cross-section of material associated with the group.

The tracklist opens with "Spotlight Kid" at just over six minutes and closes with "Weiss Heim" at five minutes and fifteen seconds, bookending a selection that includes some of the band's more recognizable titles. "Since You Been Gone" and "I Surrender" appear at positions six and two respectively, while "Man On The Silver Mountain" and "Long Live Rock 'N' Roll" occupy the latter portion of the disc at positions eleven and twelve, running to eight minutes sixteen seconds and seven minutes eight seconds. The longest track on the release is "Difficult To Cure," which occupies position eight at eleven minutes and fifteen seconds, making it a notably extended entry in an otherwise moderately paced sequence of track lengths.

Shorter entries include "Jealous Lover" at three minutes ten seconds and "Since You Been Gone" at three minutes forty-seven seconds, while mid-length tracks such as "Miss Mistreated," "Can't Happen Here," "Bad Girl," "Stone Cold," and "Power" round out the collection in the four-minute range.

The compilation is categorized under Polydor's back-catalog holdings and carries the label's standard release infrastructure. No release year is confirmed in the available documentation for this pressing. Prospective buyers and researchers consulting this entry should treat the absence of a confirmed year as an open question pending further verification from label documentation or supplementary discographical sources.
