Relient K
The Vinyl Countdown II

Listening notes

Relient K's The Vinyl Countdown II was released in 2015 on Gotee Records, catalogued under U-70130. The release is a vinyl format single carrying two tracks: "Nothing Without You" on the A-side and "Five Iron Frenzy Is Either Dead Or Dying (Wanna Be Ska Version)" on the B-side. The release is categorized under rock.

The title continues a naming convention established by its predecessor, The Vinyl Countdown, with the Roman numeral suggesting this was conceived as part of a series. Beyond what the catalog data confirms, the specifics of how or why this release came together remain outside the scope of verified information available here.

What can be noted straightforwardly is the character of the B-side title. "Five Iron Frenzy Is Either Dead Or Dying (Wanna Be Ska Version)" is an unusually descriptive track name, referencing Five Iron Frenzy, another act with roots in the Christian music scene, and flagging a ska stylistic approach through its parenthetical. The title alone signals a certain irreverence that has been part of Relient K's public presentation as a band. Whether the track itself delivers on that description in any particular way is not something this entry can evaluate.

The A-side, "Nothing Without You," does not lend itself to the same degree of title-level commentary, and no additional information about its content or context is confirmed in the available data.

Gotee Records, the releasing label, is a Nashville-based Christian music label. No further claims about the pressing, its availability, or its place within Relient K's broader discography can be responsibly made based on the facts provided.
