Roxette
Dangerous (Waste • Of • Vinyl • Mix)

Listening notes

Released in 1990 on Parlophone, this vinyl single presents "Dangerous" by Roxette across three tracks, catalogued under the number 060-13 6370 6. The release sits within the pop, pop rock, and rock genres that characterized the Swedish duo's output during that period.

The record's structure is straightforward. The A-side is given over entirely to the Waste Of Vinyl 12''-Mix of "Dangerous," running to 6:25. The title of the mix is notable for its self-aware humor, a relatively uncommon gesture in mainstream pop single packaging of the era. The B-side carries two tracks: the 7'' Version of "Dangerous" at 3:46, which offers a more compact presentation of the same song, and a live recording of "Surrender" at 3:12. The inclusion of a live track on the B-side gives the release a degree of variety beyond a straightforward remix single.

Together, the three tracks offer two distinct versions of the featured song alongside a live performance, making this a modestly varied document of the group at a particular commercial moment. The juxtaposition of the extended mix, the standard single version, and the live cut gives collectors and listeners three different contexts in which to encounter Roxette's material from this period.

The Parlophone imprint and the catalog number place this release within the label's distribution network, though further specifics about regional pressing or manufacturing would require verification beyond the confirmed data. As a vinyl single, it represents one format entry in what was a broader international release campaign for "Dangerous" as a title.
