Sabaton
Christmas Truce Pop-up Vinyl Limited

Listening notes

Released in 2022 on Nuclear Blast Records, this limited vinyl from Swedish heavy metal act Sabaton carries the catalog number NB 6673-1 and is identified by its pop-up designation, suggesting a special physical presentation distinct from standard pressings. The release falls under the heavy metal and rock genres, consistent with the band's established output on the same label.

The record is a single-song release built around "Christmas Truce," a track that appears here in three distinct versions across two sides. The A-side contains the standard version of "Christmas Truce" at position A1, followed by a radio edit at position A2. The B-side presents a symphonic version of the same track at position B1. No durations are documented for any of the three tracks in the available information.

The structure of the release — offering a primary track alongside a radio edit and a symphonic arrangement — reflects a format sometimes used for promotional or collector-oriented singles, though the specific intentions behind this pressing are not confirmed by the available facts. The pop-up descriptor in the title likely refers to a physical design element of the packaging, though no further detail about that element can be verified here.

Sabaton has maintained a long association with Nuclear Blast Records, and this release continues that relationship. The subject matter implied by the title points toward the historical event commonly known as the Christmas Truce of 1914, which aligns with the band's well-documented interest in military history as lyrical subject matter, though the lyrical content of this specific recording has not been independently confirmed in the source data.
