Satanic Warmaster
Nova Ordo Ater

Listening notes

Satanic Warmaster's *Nova Ordo Ater* was released in 2017 on Werewolf Records under catalog number EVIL-045, appearing in vinyl format and catalogued under the genres of black metal and rock.

The record is spread across two sides. Side A opens with "Intro (J.S.O.S.)" before moving into "The Vampiric Tyrant" and "The Burning Eyes Of The Werewolf." The fourth and final track on the A side is "Carelian Satanist Madness." Side B carries five tracks: "A Raven's Song," "Raging Winter (Fuck God Version)," "A New Black Order," and "My Kingdom Of Darkness," closing with "Outro (A.T.E.R.)." The parenthetical subtitles on both the opening and closing tracks — J.S.O.S. and A.T.E.R. respectively — suggest a deliberate structural framing to the album, though what those abbreviations signify is not documented in the available information. The designation "Fuck God Version" appended to "Raging Winter" indicates that track exists in at least one other form, though no further detail on alternate versions is confirmed here.

With nine tracks divided symmetrically in terms of structure — an intro and outro bracketing the main body of material — the sequencing presents itself as intentional in its arrangement, even if track durations are not available to assess pacing or running time.

Werewolf Records, the issuing label, shares its name with imagery that recurs in the tracklist itself, most directly in "The Burning Eyes Of The Werewolf."
