Scald (2)
Will Of The Gods Is Great Power

Listening notes

Scald (2)'s Will Of The Gods Is Great Power was released on vinyl in 2018 through Ordo MCM (catalog number MCM025), catalogued under the genres of doom metal, rock, and Viking metal.

The release is spread across what the tracklist suggests is a double LP or similar multi-sided format, with sides A through D. The first three sides present six studio tracks: "Night Sky" (9:12), "Sepulchral Bonfire" (11:50), "Eternal Stone" (6:59), "Ragnaradi Eve" (11:52), "A Tumulus" (6:21), and "In The Open Sea" (9:05). Several of these run past the ten-minute mark, placing the bulk of the studio material well above average track lengths for rock releases of any era.

Side D is designated "Demo Live And Rehearsal" and collects four additional recordings that give the release a distinctly archival character. These include a live performance of "Кузнец Войны" ("Blacksmith Of War") from 1993 (6:19), a 1993 rehearsal recording of "Пламя Вальгаллы" ("Valhalla's Flame") (7:50), a 1993 rehearsal version of "Погребальный Костер" ("Sepulchral Bonfire") (2:59), and a 1995 demo version of "Sepulchral Bonfire" (9:47). The presence of both Russian and English titles on the D-side material is a detail worth noting for cataloguing purposes. The 1993 and 1995 dates attributed to the bonus recordings predate the 2018 release by a significant margin, suggesting this vinyl edition draws on historical source material alongside the studio content.

The total listed runtime across all tracks is substantial, and collectors or researchers approaching this entry should note that the information above reflects tracklist data only. Further details regarding personnel, pressings, or edition specifics have not been verified and are not included here.
