Shoes
Black Vinyl Shoes

Listening notes

Shoes are a rock group associated with genres including indie rock, pop, power pop, and rock. This 2012 vinyl release, titled Black Vinyl Shoes, was issued on Black Vinyl Records with the catalog number S-51477.

The record presents fifteen tracks spread across two sides. Side A opens with "Boys Don't Lie" and continues through "Do You Wanna Get Lucky?," "She'll Disappear," "Tragedy," "Writing A Postcard," "Not Me," "Someone Finer," and "Capital Gain." Side B carries seven tracks: "Fatal," "Running Start," "Okay," "It Really Hurts," "Fire For Awhile," "If You'd Stay," and "Nowhere So Fast." Track durations are not listed in the available documentation.

The label name, Black Vinyl Records, shares its descriptor with the format itself, a coincidence that gives the release a self-referential quality on paper, though no documentation available for this draft speaks to whether that overlap was intentional. The label is identified in cataloging records with the parenthetical designation (3), indicating it is one of multiple distinct entities operating under that name.

No additional information about recording personnel, production, original release history, or pressing specifications is available from the verified data at hand. The title Black Vinyl Shoes echoes the band name Shoes in a way that suggests the release may function as a compilation or retrospective, but that characterization cannot be confirmed here and should be flagged for the fact checker to investigate before publication.
