Sloppy Boys, The
Vinyl Collection

Listening notes

The Sloppy Boys' Vinyl Collection, issued in 2025 on the band's own imprint under catalog number TSB004, is a self-released box set spanning six sides of vinyl. The release carries dual genre classifications of Comedy and Rock, a pairing that the tracklist does little to contradict. Titles such as "I'm One Hell Of A Dude," "Pass That Doobie," "We're Gonna Get You Laid," "The Mastah Bong Rippah," and "Full-Blown Free-For-All" signal a group that wears its comic sensibility on its sleeve without apparent apology.

At 35 tracks spread across sides A through F, Vinyl Collection is a substantial document by any measure. The sequencing moves through a loosely recognizable landscape of party anthems, regional reference points, and social archetypes. "East Coast Wedding," "Santa Ana Winds," "Classic New York Night," and "Bonnaroo" suggest a band with at least a geographical range of subjects, while "Lifeguard Life," "Radio Dayze," "Breakfast At Bellevue," and "Lifelong Vacation" round out a catalog that appears preoccupied with leisure, mild transgression, and good-natured self-mythology.

The decision to self-release under The Sloppy Boys label and to assign it the catalog designation TSB004 indicates this is at minimum the fourth cataloged release in the band's own discography. The box set format itself represents a meaningful commitment of resources for an independent act, suggesting the release is intended as a consolidated statement of material rather than a simple archival dump.

Track durations are not listed in available documentation. Fact checker should verify catalog number sequence, confirm correct side and position assignments throughout — the source data contains a likely error with two tracks assigned to position B3 — and confirm the total track count against physical media.
