Status Quo
The Vinyl Singles Collection 1990 - 1999

Listening notes

Released by Universal Music in 2018, The Vinyl Singles Collection 1990–1999 (catalog number 6785247) is a sixteen-disc vinyl box set gathering Status Quo's singles output across that decade. Falling under the broad genres of pop rock and rock, the set presents each single in the familiar seven-inch format, with A and B sides intact across all sixteen discs.

The tracklist spans a considerable range of material from the period. Early discs include "The Anniversary Waltz (Part One)" and "The Anniversary Waltz (Part Two)," spread across the first two discs respectively, each paired with its own B-side — "The Power Of Rock" and "Dirty Water." The collection continues through titles such as "Can't Give You More," "Fakin' The Blues," "Rock Til' You Drop," and the two versions of "Roadhouse Medley" presented on Disc Six, offering both a radio edit on the A-side and an extended version on the B-side.

Later discs include "Sherri Don't Fail Me Now," "Restless (Orchestral Version)," "When You Walk In The Room," "Fun Fun Fun (Short Version)," "Don't Stop," "All Around My Hat," and "The Way It Goes," among others. The final disc closes with "Twenty Wild Horses" backed by "Analyse Time."

For collectors and researchers interested in Status Quo's 1990s commercial singles releases, the set serves as a structured document of the band's output during that decade in its original single format. As with any box set of this nature, the pairing of A and B sides preserves the original release configurations rather than presenting album tracks or compilations in isolation.
