Tatsuro Yamashita = Tatsuro Yamashita
Artisan (2025 Vinyl Edition) = アルチザン

Listening notes

Tatsuro Yamashita's Artisan, originally released under the Japanese title アルチザン, arrives on vinyl in 2025 through Moon Records with catalog number WPJL-10262. The release brings eleven tracks across two sides to a format that the album had not previously occupied in this edition.

Side A opens with アトムの子 and moves through さよなら夏の日, ターナーの汽罐車 –Tuner's Steamroller–, 片想い, Tokyo's A Lonely Town, and 飛遊人 –Human–. Side B carries Splendor, Mighty Smile (魔法の微笑み), "Queen Of Hype" Blues, Endless Game, and Groovin'. The sequencing places six tracks on the first side and five on the second, a common practical arrangement for a full-length album on a single record.

The genres associated with this release span a considerable range, including City Pop, Funk, Pop, Pop Rock, Rhythm & Blues, Rock, and Soul. That breadth reflects the catalog number's placement within Yamashita's broader body of work, which has long drawn from multiple strands of American popular music alongside Japanese pop songwriting. City Pop as a classification carries particular weight here given the sustained international attention the genre has received in recent years, though what that attention means for how this specific pressing will be received falls outside what can be stated with confidence at this time.

Moon Records, listed here as Moon Records (5) to distinguish it from other labels sharing the name, serves as the issuing label for this edition. No additional personnel, mastering information, or pressing specifications are confirmed in the available data, and those details should be verified before publication. Duration information for individual tracks was not available at the time this draft was prepared.
