Third Eye Blind
We Are Drugs

Listening notes

Third Eye Blind released We Are Drugs in 2016 on Mega Collider Records, catalog number MC 05. The record is catalogued under the genres of alternative rock, pop, pop rock, and rock.

The vinyl edition presents seven tracks across two sides. Side A opens with "The Company Of Strangers" at three minutes and ten seconds, followed by "Queen Of Daydreams" at four minutes and one second, "Don't Give In" at three minutes and thirty-eight seconds, and "Isn't It Pretty" at four minutes and five seconds. Side B carries four additional tracks: "Sherri Is A Stoner" at four minutes and twelve seconds, "Weightless" at three minutes and fifty seconds, and "Cop Vs. Phone Girl" at three minutes and twenty-six seconds, closing out the record.

The total runtime across both sides runs to just under twenty-six and a half minutes, making this a relatively compact vinyl offering. The sequencing places the two longest tracks — "Isn't It Pretty" and "Sherri Is A Stoner" — at the end of Side A and the beginning of Side B respectively, positioning them around the midpoint of the listening experience.

We Are Drugs represents Third Eye Blind's presence in the vinyl format during a period of broader renewed commercial interest in the medium. The record sits within a discography that spans multiple decades for the San Francisco-based band, and its release through Mega Collider Records places it outside the major label context associated with the group's earlier output.
