Toto
Treasures - A Vinyl Collection

Listening notes

Released in 2019 on Ear Music Classics (catalog number 0214467EMX), Treasures - A Vinyl Collection is a box set from Toto combining vinyl records and a CD. The set draws on material spanning multiple live sources, identified in the tracklist as the 25th Anniversary Live in Amsterdam concert, the Falling in Between Live recording, the 35th Anniversary Tour Live in Poland, and Live at Montreux 1991.

The vinyl component runs from side A through side T, spanning ten records, while the CD duplicates a portion of the Amsterdam material. The sheer span of sides means the tracklist is extensive, pulling from across Toto's catalog. Songs such as "Africa," "Rosanna," "Hold The Line," and "I Won't Hold You Back" appear in multiple versions sourced from different concerts, while other selections — including "Hydra," "Kingdom Of Desire," "White Sister," and "99" — represent less frequently anthologized corners of the band's output. The Montreux 1991 sides include covers: Jimi Hendrix's "Red House" and Sly and the Family Stone's "I Want To Take You Higher" appear at positions S2 and T2, and the Amsterdam set includes renditions of the Beatles' "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" and Steely Dan's "Bodhisattva."

The format designation lists the set as containing both vinyl and CD components, though the precise configuration of individual disc specifications is not documented in the available data. The genres associated with the release are listed as Arena Rock, Classic Rock, Pop Rock, Rock, and Soft Rock.
