Tristania
Widow's Weeds

Listening notes

Tristania's debut album Widow's Weeds received a vinyl release through Floga Records in 2018, issued under catalog number FL202. The record is formatted as a double LP, as evidenced by the four-sided layout of its tracklist, with sides A and B occupying the first disc and sides C and D the second.

The nine tracks are distributed across the four sides: "Preludium..." and "Evenfall" and "Pale Enchantress" occupy Side A; "December Elegy" and "Midwintertears" fill Side B; "Angellore" and "My Lost Lenore" comprise Side C; and "Wasteland's Caress" and "...Postludium" close the record on Side D. The bookending titles "Preludium..." and "...Postludium" suggest a deliberate structural framing of the album's content, with the ellipses in both titles implying continuity between the two pieces and the material they surround.

The release is catalogued under the genres Gothic Metal and Rock. Floga Records, a Greek label, has built a catalog around reissuing metal and hard rock titles on vinyl, and this pressing of Widow's Weeds fits within that scope.

A fact checker should confirm the double-LP format inference and verify any label information independently before publication.
