True Werwolf, The
Devil Crisis

Listening notes

Devil Crisis is a 2020 vinyl release from The True Werwolf, issued on Werewolf Records under catalog number EVIL-000. The record is catalogued under the genres of Black Metal and Rock.

The release is structured across two sides, each carrying a distinct title. The first side is designated Side Armageddon and contains three tracks: "My Journeys Under The Battlemoon," "Thy Deviant," and "Spellbound." The second side is designated Side Blasphemy and carries four tracks: "Chi No Namida," "0373," "The Witch Of My Heart," and "Magick Fire."

The side titles — Armageddon and Blasphemy — are consistent with the vocabulary common to the black metal genre, and the catalog number EVIL-000 suggests a deliberate presentational choice on the part of the label. The track title "Chi No Namida" incorporates Japanese, which translates roughly to "tears of blood," while the remaining titles draw from a lexicon of occult and nocturnal imagery. These are observations about the titles themselves, not claims about the music or its intent.

Werewolf Records serves as both the releasing label and, by name, an entity associated directly with The True Werwolf project, though the precise nature of that relationship is not confirmed here and should be verified independently.
