Listening notes

Truth & Salvage Co.'s self-titled debut was released in 2010 on Megaforce Records, catalog number MEGA 1529. The vinyl edition spreads twelve tracks across two sides, positioning the band within the overlapping territories of country rock, folk, and rock.

Side A opens with "Hail Hail" and moves through "Call Back," "Welcome To L.A.," "Heart Like A Wheel," "See Her," and "Old Piano" — six tracks that carry the full weight of the side without individual timings listed on the release documentation. Side B answers with another six: "101," "Jump The Ship," "She Really Does It For Me," "Rise Up," "Brothers, Sons & Daughters," and "Pure Mountain Angel."

Megaforce Records, a label with roots in hard rock and metal going back to the early 1980s, was the releasing imprint here, which places this record in an interesting spot within that label's broader catalog. The genre classifications attached to this release — country rock, folk, and rock — suggest a record that sits at a crossroads rather than committing exclusively to any single tradition, though the track titles themselves offer some texture: "Pure Mountain Angel" and "Brothers, Sons & Daughters" carry an Americana weight in their names alone, while "Welcome To L.A." and "101" gesture toward something more geographically grounded.

For collectors and reference purposes, the essential identifiers are straightforward: artist, self-titled, Megaforce Records, MEGA 1529, 2010, vinyl format. Track durations are not documented in available data for this pressing.
