Decibel Presents Vinyl Cuts Sampler

Listening notes

Released in 2011 through RED Distribution, Decibel Presents Vinyl Cuts Sampler is a various-artists compilation issued on vinyl. The release carries no catalog number in its documentation.

The record spans eleven tracks across two sides, drawing from a range of genres that includes death metal, hardcore, heavy metal, math rock, rock, and thrash. Side A opens with "Wires" and moves through "All Hail The Fallen King," which features Phil Bozeman of Whitechapel, "Opposing Globalization," "Human Waste," and "Rise Up And Revolt." Side B runs six tracks: "Nowhere To Run," "Jail," "Used Up, Spit Out," "Smokeout," "Demons With Ryu," and "Fists Fall." Track durations are not documented for any selection.

The release is presented under the Decibel name, connecting it to Decibel magazine, a publication with an established focus on extreme music coverage. The sampler format situates it within a tradition of label and media outlet compilations intended to introduce listeners to artists across a shared roster or editorial context, though the specific purposes behind this release and the artists represented on it beyond the noted Whitechapel guest credit are not confirmed in the available documentation.

RED Distribution is identified as the label of record. No additional personnel, pressing, or production information has been verified for this release.
