Flying Vinyl: December 2016

Listening notes

Flying Vinyl: December 2016 is a various artists box set released by Flying Vinyl (2) in 2016, catalogued as Issue 19. The release is formatted as a multi-vinyl box set, comprising vinyl records across which ten tracks are distributed, one per side, from position A through J.

The tracklist includes "Treats," "Wasted My Life On Rock N Roll," "Migraines," "Make Up Your Mind," "Pilgrims," "Dreamland," "Sing This," "Ghost," "Want Me," and "Untitled2." No duration information is available for any of the ten tracks in the verified data, and individual artist attributions per track are not confirmed in the source material provided.

The release is catalogued under six genres: Alternative Rock, Blues, Fusion, Indie Rock, Jazz, and Rock. That breadth of genre classification across a ten-track various artists compilation suggests the box set was assembled with stylistic variety in mind, though the verified facts do not speak to curatorial intent or the specific genre assignments of individual tracks.

Flying Vinyl operated as a subscription-based service delivering vinyl to members, and this release carries the Issue 19 designation, placing it within a numbered series. The December 2016 date aligns with that issue number in a monthly release model, though the verified facts do not confirm the precise distribution schedule or subscription details beyond what the catalog entry reflects.

For collectors and researchers, this entry is notable primarily as a document of the Flying Vinyl series at a specific moment in 2016. The one-track-per-side format across multiple records is a structural detail worth noting for cataloguing purposes.
