Various
Flying Vinyl December 2019

Listening notes

Flying Vinyl December 2019, catalogued as Issue 58 and released under the Flying Vinyl (2) label in 2020, is a various artists compilation spanning the indie rock and rock genres. The release presents twelve tracks across a multi-disc vinyl format, with sides running from A through J.

The tracklist opens with "Take Control" and "Hormones" sharing the first record's A and B sides respectively alongside "Gasoline" and "Bet Your Pretty Face." Subsequent sides give individual tracks their own dedicated space: "One Of Us" occupies side C, "People" side D, "Black Hole" side E, and "Subway Jane" side F. The sequencing continues with "Hot Mess" on side G, "Mouthbreather" on side H, and "Does This Feel Like Heaven?" on side I. The compilation closes with "Tell Me Again (Demo)" on side J, the demo designation marking it as the sole track on this release identified explicitly as a non-final recording.

The multi-disc format — listed simply as Vinyl, Vinyl, Vinyl — reflects a curatorial approach common to subscription or curated compilation services, where individual tracks are pressed with generous side allocations rather than consolidated onto fewer records. Flying Vinyl operated as a subscription-based service delivering curated vinyl to members, and this December 2019 issue, despite carrying a 2020 release year, represents the fifty-eighth such installment in that series.

Track durations are not documented in the available catalog data for this release, and personnel details, individual artist attributions per track, and pressing specifics are not confirmed in the verified record for this entry.
