Flying Vinyl: January 2016

Listening notes

Flying Vinyl's January 2016 box set, catalogued as Issue 8, arrived as part of the label's ongoing subscription series delivering new and emerging music directly to listeners on vinyl. Released under the Flying Vinyl (2) imprint, the set falls within the alternative rock, indie rock, and rock genres and presents ten tracks spread across what the format listing describes as multiple vinyl records within a box set configuration.

The ten tracks — "Advertise Your Life," "Make A Person," "Lost Direction," "Highs And Lows," "Shame," "Girl," "Ay Ay," "Feel It," "True," and "Eyes Shut" — are sequenced across sides A through J, suggesting a multi-disc layout that gives each track its own dedicated side. No track durations are documented in the available data, and artist attributions for individual tracks are not confirmed here, so those details remain outside the scope of this entry.

Flying Vinyl operated as a subscription-based service during this period, and the Issue 8 designation places this release within an ongoing numbered sequence, indicating it was one installment among a broader series of monthly curated collections. The box set format was central to the service's identity, packaging newly recorded material from emerging acts onto physical vinyl for subscribers.

Beyond what the catalog data confirms — the label, issue number, year, format, genre classifications, and tracklist — the record's personnel, pressing specifications, and individual track origins are not verified in the available facts and are therefore not addressed in this draft. Researchers and collectors seeking attribution for specific tracks or details about the contributing artists should consult supplementary documentation before treating this entry as complete.
