Various
Flying Vinyl January 2020

Listening notes

Flying Vinyl's January 2020 release, catalogued as Issue 59, is a various artists compilation released on the Flying Vinyl (2) label. The release spans three vinyl records and falls within the genres of Indie Rock, Pop, and Rock.

The compilation presents ten tracks across ten sides, labelled sequentially from A through J. The tracklist opens with "My Desperate House" on side A and "Dinner Jacket" on side B, followed by "Give Up And Gamble" and "Terminal Island" on sides C and D respectively. Side E carries "Young Ties," with "Cash" appearing on side F. Sides G and H are occupied by "Baseball" and its variant, "Baseball (Sales Force Homrun Reprise)," before the release closes with "Get Jealous" on side I and "My Fata Morgana" on side J.

The unusual lettering convention, running consecutively from A to J across three records rather than following a more standard per-disc labelling scheme, is a structural detail that distinguishes this release and may be of interest to cataloguers and collectors organising multi-disc compilations. Track durations are not listed for any of the ten selections.

Flying Vinyl operated as a subscription-based service delivering new music on vinyl, and Issue 59 represents one entry in that ongoing numbered series. The January 2020 release date places it early in that calendar year. No additional information regarding the contributing artists, recording details, or personnel is confirmed within the available documentation.

This is an unreviewed draft. Artist attributions, label variant details, and any subscription or series context should be independently verified before publication.
