Flying Vinyl: March 2017

Listening notes

Flying Vinyl: March 2017 arrived as Issue 22 of the Flying Vinyl subscription service, released in 2017 on the Flying Vinyl (2) label. The release takes the form of a vinyl box set comprising multiple records, with eleven tracks spread across sides A through J — an unusually generous spread for a curated singles subscription package.

The tracklist cuts across a broad stylistic range as indicated by the genres associated with the release: Alternative Rock, Garage Rock, Indie Pop, Indie Rock, Pop, Punk, and Rock. Whether any single track fully anchors itself in one of those categories or pulls from several simultaneously is not something the available data makes clear, and that question is one a reviewer working with the physical records would be better placed to answer.

The eleven titles — "Drunk," "Ring Ring," "Speed Racer," "I'll Try," "Being Around," "No Big Deal," "Sad Fuzz," "You Can't Lose," "All Or Nothing," "Reykjavik," and "Sandcastle" — are credited here to Various Artists, as is standard for a curated compilation of this kind. Track durations are not documented in the available data. Individual artist attributions per track are likewise absent from the verified facts on hand and should be confirmed before this entry is considered complete.

Flying Vinyl operated as a monthly vinyl subscription service delivering new and emerging artists on physical singles, and Issue 22 fits within that model. Beyond the format, catalog number, and tracklist, the verified record for this release is thin. Personnel, pressing details, and any additional packaging information remain unconfirmed.

This draft requires fact-checker review before publication. Artist credits per track should be sourced and added. Any additional label or pressing information should be verified independently.
