Flying Vinyl: March 2018

Listening notes

Flying Vinyl: March 2018, catalogued as Issue 34 on the Flying Vinyl label, is a vinyl box set released in 2018. The release collects ten tracks across multiple records, with each side dedicated to a single track. The tracklist spans a range of acts and titles — Our Girl, Sleeper, Hawaii, Cause And Effect, Phantom Limbs, For Love (Demo), Movemaker, Parallel Vision, Pop Queen Of The Teen Scene, and Dead Growing — spread across sides A through J.

The genres associated with this issue are listed as Alternative Rock, Indie Pop, Indie Rock, Pop, and Rock, which reflects the broad stylistic territory Flying Vinyl tended to draw from in its subscription releases. The inclusion of For Love (Demo) on side F is worth noting as the tracklist's only explicitly identified demo recording, distinguishing it from the other nine tracks in that respect.

The box set format — credited on the release as Vinyl, Vinyl, Vinyl, Box Set — is consistent with Flying Vinyl's model of delivering physical records directly to subscribers. As a subscription-based service, Flying Vinyl issued records periodically, and this March 2018 edition represents the thirty-fourth such issue.

Track durations are not documented for this release, and no personnel, production, or label credits are included in the available data. Collectors and researchers seeking additional detail on the individual artists represented across the ten sides would need to consult supplementary sources. As it stands, this entry provides a structural record of the release's format, tracklist, and catalogue position within the Flying Vinyl series.
