Flying Vinyl: October 2018

Listening notes

Flying Vinyl: October 2018 is Issue 41 in the ongoing series released by Flying Vinyl (2), appearing in 2018. The release takes the form of a box set containing multiple vinyl records, with the genres listed as Indie Rock and Rock.

The set collects ten tracks spread across sides A through J, each side carrying a single song. The tracklist opens with "Blue Romance" on the A-side and "Crowded City" on the B-side, before moving to "Teenage Fantasy" on the C-side. That track receives additional treatment on the D-side in the form of a remix credited to Alice Go, making it one of the few instances within the set where the same composition appears in more than one version. The remaining sides carry "Lime Green," "Rosa and Henry," "Nothing Seems To Get Me High," "Superglue," "Mexican Dress," and "Beverly," in that order.

No artist attributions, track durations, or personnel details are included in the available catalogue information for this release, which limits what can be confirmed about the contributors behind each individual recording. The artist field is listed simply as Various, consistent with the compilation format Flying Vinyl used across its subscription issues.

As a box set, the physical configuration places each track on its own dedicated side, a format choice that defines the structure of the listening experience without requiring additional commentary here. The release sits within a numbered sequence of monthly issues, and its catalogue number, Issue 41, places it in the autumn 2018 run of the series.

This is an unreviewed draft. A fact checker should verify artist attributions for individual tracks, confirm the Alice Go remix credit independently, and clarify whether additional insert or sleeve information accompanies the box set before publication.
