Panx Vinyl Zine 06

Listening notes

Panx Vinyl Zine 06 is a various artists compilation released in 1990 on Panx Productions, carrying the catalog number PP 009. Issued on vinyl, the release sits within the hardcore, punk, and rock genres, qualities that are reflected across its six-track sequence spread over two sides.

Side A opens with "Better Things," followed by "Let's Scare Hippies" and "You Don't Have To Hear It." The titles alone suggest the irreverent, confrontational posture that was common currency in the underground punk and hardcore scenes of the era. Side B leads with "Кто Сильнее Тот И Прав," a Cyrillic-titled track that points toward at least some geographic or cultural breadth in the compilation's scope, even if the specific contributing artists are not identified in the available documentation. That track is followed by "Burn The Bastards" and "It's A Mess," rounding out the record at six tracks total.

The release is part of the Panx Vinyl Zine series, which the numbering and label name suggest was an ongoing project from Panx Productions. The series format — a periodically issued compilation on vinyl — was a recognized approach within DIY punk and hardcore communities during this period, functioning as a kind of physical document of a scene or network rather than a conventional album. The catalog number PP 009 indicates this was at least the ninth release on the label, though what preceded or followed it in the catalog is not confirmed by the available facts.

Duration information for individual tracks is not documented in the available data. Personnel and contributing artists are likewise not confirmed. This draft should be reviewed against additional source materials before publication.
