Panx Vinyl Zine 11

Listening notes

Panx Vinyl Zine 11 is a various artists release issued in 1992 on Panx Productions under catalog number PP016. Released on vinyl, it sits within the hardcore, punk, and rock genres, characteristics consistent with the vinyl zine format that Panx Productions employed as a vehicle for distributing music from within those scenes.

The record carries six tracks spread across two sides. The A side opens with "Tired," followed by "Jehovah's Witness" and "Crisis Everywhere." The B side presents "Real Man," "Sentimiento Indefinible," and "Nevermore." The presence of "Sentimiento Indefinible," a Spanish-language title, points toward the international scope that compilation releases of this type frequently reflected during the era, though no further detail about contributing artists or their origins is available from verified sources to confirm the extent of that reach here.

The vinyl zine concept, of which this release is the eleventh installment under the Panx Productions banner, treated the record itself as a periodical object rather than a conventional album. This approach was not uncommon in underground hardcore and punk communities during the late 1980s and early 1990s, where independent infrastructure allowed small labels to produce and distribute music outside commercial channels. Panx Productions continued that tradition with this release.

Track durations are not confirmed for any of the six selections, and personnel, recording locations, and individual artist credits are not available in the verified record for this release. Any reader seeking contributor details or session information would need to consult the physical release directly.
