Seraphic Decay Records - Vinyl Sampler 91

Listening notes

Released in 2022 on Seven Metal Inches Records (catalog number SMIR-15), Seraphic Decay Records - Vinyl Sampler 91 is a various-artists compilation spanning the death metal and rock genres. The release is formatted as a double LP, with programming spread across four sides.

The A and B sides open the collection with eight tracks: "Pestilential Mists," "Holy Laws Of Pain," "Caught In A Vortex," and "Disintegration Of Flesh" on Side A, followed by "Lost Remembrance," "Dehumanized," "Mentally Deficient," and "Exasperation," the last of which is designated a bonus track, on Side B. The C side continues with "Beyond The Realm," "Another Lie, Another Death," "Who Dies," and "Expired Christianity."

The D side is notably the most dense of the four, carrying ten tracks: "Debts Of Gods," "Deprive My Innermost Soul," "Incinerate," "Offering," "Lipucci Minch," "Miniature Bitch," "Minch," "Lotsa Mozza," "We Gotta Go," and "Aaaaaaarrufff!!!" The shift in tone suggested by several of those later titles — particularly within a release otherwise defined by death metal nomenclature — points to the compilation's breadth across its listed genres of death metal and rock, though no track-by-track artist attribution is available from the verified data to clarify which contributors account for which portions of the program.

Track durations are not documented in the available data. Personnel, recording origins, pressing details, and edition information similarly fall outside what can be confirmed here, and a researcher or editor should verify those particulars before publication.
