Sonic Adventure Official Soundtrack Vinyl Edition

Listening notes

Released in 2017 on Brave Wave under catalog number BW-SGA-001, the Sonic Adventure Official Soundtrack Vinyl Edition presents music from the Sonic Adventure video game across a double-LP format. The release carries genres spanning hip hop, pop rock, rock, and soundtrack categories, reflecting the range of musical styles represented across its twenty-two tracks.

The tracklist is organized across four sides. Side A opens with an introduction piece featuring "Open Your Heart" before moving through character and stage themes including "It Doesn't Matter," designated as the theme of Sonic, and stage-associated tracks for Emerald Coast, Speed Highway, and Twinkle Park. Side B continues with character themes for Tails and Big alongside stage pieces for Ice Cap, Red Mountain, and Casinopolis, as well as a theme for Dr. Eggman. Side C is anchored by character themes for Amy, Tikal, and Knuckles, the last of which, "Unknown from M.E.," runs to four minutes and thirty-one seconds, along with pieces tied to Mystic Ruin and the Chao. Side D closes the program with stage and character material including themes for E-102γ and Hot Shelter, tracks associated with the Egg Carrier and Sky Deck, and the main theme "Open Your Heart," which concludes the sequence at five minutes and eleven seconds.

Total runtime across the four sides is substantial, with several tracks exceeding four minutes. The release is described as an all-media edition in addition to its vinyl components, though the specific contents of that designation are not elaborated upon in the available documentation.
