Spacewalk - A Salute To Ace Frehley (Extended) [Red Marble Vinyl]

Listening notes

Cleopatra Records is scheduled to release Spacewalk — A Salute To Ace Frehley (Extended) on red marble vinyl in 2026, catalogued as CLO 2950. The compilation is a various-artists tribute drawing from the classic rock, hard rock, and rock genres, and its tracklist centers on songs closely associated with Ace Frehley and his years connected to KISS.

The twelve-track program is spread across two sides. Side A opens with "Deuce" at 3:48 and moves through "Shock Me" (3:23), "Rip It Out" (3:46), "Hard Luck Woman" (3:09), "Snowblind" (4:01), "Rock Bottom" (3:07), and "Parasite" (3:16). Side B leads with "Cold Gin" (4:10), followed by "New York Groove" (4:52), the extended instrumental "Fractured Mirror" at 6:35 — the longest entry on the record — "Detroit Rock City" (4:31), and "Love Gun" (3:59). The total runtime across both sides reflects the extended designation in the title, distinguishing this release from any prior, shorter configuration.

The selection of songs spans material that appeared across KISS studio records of the 1970s as well as Frehley's 1978 solo album, which produced "New York Groove" and "Fractured Mirror." The presence of "Fractured Mirror," an instrumental composition credited to Frehley, alongside that album's most commercially recognized track gives Side B a notably different character on paper compared to the harder-driving material that populates Side A.

The red marble vinyl format places this squarely within Cleopatra's ongoing practice of releasing catalog and tribute material in colored pressings. Personnel performing the individual tracks are not listed in the available information and would require verification before publication. Collectors and KISS-adjacent enthusiasts researching this title should note that the 2026 release date and catalog number CLO 2950 are the confirmed identifying details on file at this stage.
