Vinyl Moon Volume 051: Four States

Listening notes

Vinyl Moon Volume 051: Four States arrives as part of the subscription-based label's ongoing series of curated vinyl compilations. Released in 2019, this installment carries the series designation Volume 051, placing it well into Vinyl Moon's run of numbered editions. The label's model centers on delivering original, exclusive recordings to subscribers on vinyl, and Four States continues that approach within genres catalogued here as indie pop, indie rock, pop, and rock.

The ten-track program is divided evenly across two sides. Side A opens with "Out Of Body" and moves through "Waitin," "Say You Will," "Don't Stop (Drip Drip Drop)," and "What U Gonna Do 4 Luv." The sequencing suggests a reasonable range of moods within the broader pop and rock territory the compilation occupies, though no artist or performer credits are available in the verified data to elaborate further on what each track represents. Side B follows with "Laugh It Off," "Over It," "Morning Light," "Orange," and the closing track "At The End Of The World." Track durations are not available in the verified information.

The title Four States likely reflects a curatorial or thematic framework Vinyl Moon applied to this volume, though the specifics of that framing are not confirmed in the available facts and cannot be elaborated upon here.

As a subscription compilation, Four States sits within a format designed around discovery rather than established catalog. The various artists format, combined with the indie-leaning genre tags, is consistent with Vinyl Moon's general editorial identity across its volume series. Collectors and subscribers interested in this entry should note that artist-level credits, pressing details, and any additional supplementary materials included with the original subscription package fall outside what the current verified record supports.
