Listening notes

Viva La Vinyl is a various artists compilation released by Dead Beat Records (2) under catalog number DB 03. The record is a vinyl release spanning genres catalogued as hardcore, punk, and rock. No release year has been confirmed for this title.

The compilation carries sixteen tracks across two sides. The A side opens with "Shingle" and moves through "Destroying The Builder," "These Are The Quotes From Our Favorite 80's Movies," "Streak (Bill #1)," "Magical Mystery Tour," "Bomb," and "Can't Listen." The B side extends the running order with nine tracks: "Happy All The Time," "I Wish," "Crawl," "Flower," "Crazy Al," "So What," "Bear Named Dog," "My Crime," and "Weight Of The Sun." Track durations are not documented in available sources.

The title Viva La Vinyl announces a format-conscious intent that fits within a broader tradition of compilation records assembled to foreground the medium itself, though no specific documentation of the label's stated purpose for this release is currently on hand. Dead Beat Records (2) is identified here with a parenthetical designator, which typically indicates a label distinguished from others sharing the same or a similar name in catalog databases.

Contributing artists, recording details, personnel, and any notes on individual tracks are absent from verified sources at this time. The B side's nine-track sequencing is notably longer than the A side's seven, though no information is available to explain the asymmetry or whether it reflects practical or editorial decisions by the label.

Researchers or collectors seeking further detail on personnel, pressing variants, or release context should treat the above as a partial record pending additional documentation.
