Various
Wisconsin Vinyl Collective Volume One

Listening notes

Released in 2017 on Stone After Stone Records, Wisconsin Vinyl Collective Volume One carries catalog number SD 4037 and presents itself as a regional compilation issued on vinyl. The release brings together tracks from various artists under a banner that foregrounds its geographic identity, positioning Wisconsin as the connective thread across its ten selections.

The record spans a notably broad stylistic range. Its listed genres include alternative rock, country rock, folk rock, indie pop, pop, pop rock, rock, and rock and roll, as well as the broader folk, world, and country category. Whether read as curatorial ambition or simple genre plurality, the tracklist reflects a compilation that does not confine itself to a single sound or scene.

Side A opens with "Rain Or Shine" and moves through "Tear It Down, Make It Better," "Song For Our Sister," "I'll Be Waiting For You," and "New Light." Side B carries "Falling For You," "Okay," "Party," "John The Revelator," and closes with "Hard Labor Side Of Gettin Done." Track durations are not documented in available sources.

The title designates this as Volume One, which suggests the label intended the release as the beginning of a series, though no further information about subsequent volumes is available here for confirmation. Stone After Stone Records serves as both the releasing label and the apparent organizational home for the project.

As a vinyl compilation rooted in regional identity and issued under a collective title, Wisconsin Vinyl Collective Volume One occupies a recognizable tradition of locality-driven anthology releases. The verified details on hand are limited to those structural facts, and this entry should be reviewed against additional primary sources before publication.
