Venice (7)
Venetian Vinyl

Listening notes

Venice (7)'s Venetian Vinyl was released on the Music On Vinyl label in 2015 under catalog number MOVLP1384. The release is a substantial one, spread across four sides and comprising twenty-three tracks in total.

The album's genre tags — Ballad, Folk, World, & Country, Pop, Rock, and Vocal — suggest a range of stylistic territory covered across its runtime. Side A opens with "Rivers Never Run" and moves through five additional tracks before Side B closes with the album's longest entry on that half, "That's The Way It Is," which runs five minutes and thirty-three seconds. Side C begins with "It's Time," the second-longest track on the record at five minutes and fifty-three seconds, before working through five more selections. Side D opens with the album's longest track, "Back To The Well," at six minutes and fifteen seconds, and concludes with "It's Too Late For Me Now."

Track lengths across the four sides vary considerably, from the brief "Things That Always Make Me Think Of You" at two minutes and thirty-one seconds to that closing stretch on Side D. The titles themselves — "The Family Tree," "Father Time," "Ashes In The Snow," "Language Of The Heart" — point broadly toward personal and reflective subject matter, though no further production or compositional detail is available here to support a deeper reading.

As a four-sided vinyl release on Music On Vinyl, Venetian Vinyl represents a notable commitment of physical format to the artist's catalog. Collectors and fans of the label will find the full tracklist documented here for reference purposes.
