Watain
The Vinyl Reissues

Listening notes

Season of Mist issued this box set under catalog number SOM267 in 2012, bringing together vinyl reissues of four Watain albums: Rabid Death's Curse, Casus Luciferi, Sworn To The Dark, and Lawless Darkness. The format is listed as four vinyl records collected within a single box set configuration, spanning sides A through P across the four titles.

The tracklisting reflects the original album sequences with additions noted explicitly as bonus tracks. Rabid Death's Curse occupies sides A and B, with The Essence Of Black Purity designated as a bonus track on side D. Casus Luciferi runs across sides E through H, closing with a track simply titled Watain marked as a bonus. Sworn To The Dark fills sides I through L, presenting its full sequence without an indicated bonus. Lawless Darkness concludes the set across sides M through P, with Chains Of Death carrying the bonus track designation on side P.

In total the set accounts for more than forty individual track positions spread across sixteen sides of vinyl. The genres listed for the release are Black Metal and Rock. Watain are a Swedish band, though the verified data provided here does not include formation details or personnel, and none are stated in this draft.

The release was handled by Season of Mist, a label with an established history in extreme metal. Beyond the catalog number, year, format, and tracklist, the available data does not speak to edition size, color variants, or any other physical specifications, and this draft makes no claims in those areas. A fact checker should confirm bonus track origins and whether any additional inserts or documentation accompanied the box.
