Whitlams, The
Eternal Nightcap

Listening notes

The Whitlams' Eternal Nightcap was issued on vinyl by Phantom Records (3) in 2006 under catalog number PHLP 100. The release carries genre classifications spanning Avantgarde, Rock, and Soft Rock, a combination that at least on paper signals some breadth of intent within the album's sequencing.

The record is divided across two sides totalling eleven tracks. Side A opens with "No Aphrodisiac" and moves through "Buy Now Pay Later (Charlie No. 2)," "You Sound Like Louis Burdett," and "Melbourne" before closing with two entries from what appears to be a recurring Charlie sequence: "Charlie No. 3" followed by "Charlie No. 1." The ordering of those two tracks — No. 3 preceding No. 1 on the running order, with No. 2 appearing earlier in the side — is a detail a fact checker may wish to verify against the physical label or sleeve, as the non-sequential arrangement is notable.

Side B carries five tracks: "Laugh in Their Faces," "Life's a Beach," "Where's the Enemy?," "Up Against the Wall," and "Band on Every Corner." No individual track durations are available in the verified data for either side.

The 2006 Phantom Records pressing represents a vinyl edition of the album. Beyond the catalog details, tracklist, and genre classifications documented here, no further verified information about this specific pressing — including personnel, pressing specifications, or edition size — has been confirmed for this entry. Any additional claims would require independent verification before publication.
