Worship
Last Vinyl Before Doomsday

Listening notes

Worship's "Last Vinyl Before Doomsday," released in 2001 on Painiac Records (catalog number Pain 011), is a vinyl release catalogued under the genres of Funeral Doom Metal and Rock. The record spans four tracks distributed across two sides, with the A-side carrying "Whispering Gloom" at eleven minutes and fifty-three seconds and "Solicide And The Dawning Of The Moonkult" at ten minutes and fifty-nine seconds. The B-side contains "Eclipse Of Sorrow" at eight minutes and eighteen seconds, followed by the self-titled closing track "Worship," which runs to fifteen minutes and twenty-three seconds.

The tracklist positions follow an unusual sequential numbering — AI, AII, BIII, and BIV — continuing the count across both sides rather than resetting at the B-side. The total runtime across the four tracks exceeds forty-six minutes, a substantial duration for a vinyl release. The title track is notably the longest of the four, accounting for roughly a third of the record's total playing time.

The release takes its place within the Painiac Records catalog as Pain 011. The label designation and catalog number are the primary identifying markers for collectors and archivists working to distinguish this pressing from any other configurations the material may have appeared in.

The genre classifications of Funeral Doom Metal and Rock, as listed, represent a broad range. Funeral Doom Metal is a recognized subgenre associated with extremely slow tempos and extended track lengths, a characteristic consistent with the durations present on this record. Beyond these documented details, further claims regarding the release would require independent verification before publication.
