Adam Freeland
Heel & Toe (Original Vinyl)

Listening notes

Adam Freeland's "Heel & Toe (Original Vinyl)" was released in 2005 on Marine Parade, the label with which Freeland has long been associated. Issued under catalog number MAPA033R, the release is a two-sided vinyl single operating within the genres of breakbeat, breaks, and electronic music.

The record presents two versions of the same underlying material across its two sides. The A-side carries the Adam Freeland Remix, while the B-side holds the Original Version. This kind of pairing — placing a reworked interpretation on the A-side alongside a source version on the flip — is a format familiar to dance music releases of the period, where labels frequently structured vinyl singles to serve both club play and broader context.

Marine Parade was Freeland's own imprint, giving the release an independent character consistent with how artist-run labels operated in the mid-2000s dance music landscape. The catalog numbering, MAPA033R, places this release within an established sequence on that label, suggesting it arrived at a point when Marine Parade had already built a body of output.

No durations are documented for either side, which is not uncommon for vinyl dance releases where timing could vary depending on mastering decisions and playback equipment. The absence of that information here means little can be said about the relative length or structure of either version.

What the record's documented details confirm is straightforward: a 2005 vinyl single, two tracks, one artist's remix paired with an original, released independently through Marine Parade. Readers seeking personnel details, recording background, or comparative assessments of the two versions will need to consult sources beyond what is currently verified for this entry. This draft should be reviewed accordingly.
