Armin van Buuren Featuring Justine Suissa
Burned With Desire (Vinyl 1)

Listening notes

Released in 2004 on the Euphonic label, "Burned With Desire (Vinyl 1)" pairs Armin van Buuren with vocalist Justine Suissa under catalog number euphonic34.3. The release falls within the electronic, progressive trance, and trance genres, and presents two remixed versions of the track across its two sides.

The A-side carries the Ronski Speed Mix, running nine minutes and twenty-one seconds — a substantial runtime that reflects the extended formats common to club-oriented vinyl releases. The B-side offers the Kyau Vs. Albert Remix at seven minutes and forty seconds, providing a second interpretive take on the source material from a different production hand.

As a two-sided vinyl single, the release is catalogued specifically as "Vinyl 1," a designation that suggests it was issued as part of a multi-part release series, though what additional volumes may exist is a matter for the collector to investigate further.

Euphonic was the label home for this release, and the catalog number euphonic34.3 places it within that imprint's numbering system. The collaboration between van Buuren and Suissa brings together two names associated with the trance genre during a period when progressive trance held a prominent position in electronic music more broadly.

For collectors and researchers building a reference around trance-era vinyl, this record documents a specific moment in how the genre was packaged and distributed — two remixes, two remixers, one featured vocalist, and a runtime built for the dancefloor rather than radio. The facts on the label are straightforward, and the release stands as a discrete, identifiable artifact within that catalog.
