Benjamin Diamond
Strange Attitude (Vinyl Set Part 3 / 4)

Listening notes

Benjamin Diamond's Strange Attitude arrived in 2000 on Diamond Traxx, the artist's own imprint. This release, catalogued as DIAM 004 LP DLX3, represents the third installment in a four-part vinyl set built around the Strange Attitude album, situating it within a deliberately segmented physical release strategy rather than a conventional single-disc format.

The electronic and house genres listed for this release reflect the broader stylistic territory Diamond occupied at the turn of the millennium, a period when the boundaries between those two categories were actively contested and frequently blurred on dancefloors and in studios alike.

The record carries four tracks across its two sides. Side A opens with "Just A Little Time," running four minutes and eleven seconds, followed by "Playin' With Myself" at six minutes and eight seconds, giving the first side a noticeably extended second cut. Side B presents "In Your Arms (We Gonna Make It) (Club Edit)" at six minutes and seven seconds, a title whose parenthetical designation as a club edit signals an explicit orientation toward extended dancefloor use. The side closes with "Rich Personality" at four minutes and forty-five seconds.

The catalog number structure, incorporating the DLX designation alongside the part numbering, suggests the four-part set was conceived and marketed as a unified deluxe package rather than a series of standalone releases. Collectors and researchers approaching this pressing should treat it as one component of a larger intended object, with DIAM 004 LP DLX3 occupying the third position in that sequence.

Diamond Traxx as a label name mirrors the artist's own surname, indicating a self-released or artist-controlled release context for this material in 2000.
