Bizarre Inc - Eon - Midi Rain
Vinyl Solution Sampler

Listening notes

Released in 1992 on Columbia (catalog number CSK 4427), the Vinyl Solution Sampler is a promotional CD compiling tracks from three acts working within electronic music during that period: Bizarre Inc, Eon, and Midi Rain. The release spans seven tracks across approximately 40 minutes, drawing from the genres of electronic, house, and techno.

The tracklist opens with Bizarre Inc's "Playing With Knives (Quadrant Mix)" at 6:47, followed by Eon's "Plutonic (12\")" at 6:21. Midi Rain contributes "Raise Me (Eon Mix)" at 4:48 and "Inner Mind (Deep Thought Mix)" at 4:29. The sampler continues with "Spice (Original Mix With Notes)" at 5:50, before closing out with "Always (Club Vocal Mix)" at 6:45 and "Eyes (Depth Charge Mix)" at 5:23. The mix designations noted across the tracklist — Quadrant Mix, Eon Mix, Deep Thought Mix, Depth Charge Mix, and others — indicate that the sampler drew on specific remixed or alternate versions of the included material rather than straightforward single edits.

As a promotional sampler issued by a major label, the release appears to have served a curatorial function, presenting a slice of electronic and dance-oriented acts under the Vinyl Solution imprint through Columbia's distribution infrastructure. The CD format situates it as a trade or promotional item rather than a standard consumer release, though the specific circumstances of its distribution are not documented in the available information.

The title references Vinyl Solution, suggesting an alignment with or promotion of that label's roster, though no further label relationship details can be confirmed here. Fact checker should verify artist-to-track attribution across all seven positions, label affiliation, and any additional personnel or production credits not present in the source data.
