Burning Vinyl
Fax Me Up-Communication

Listening notes

Burning Vinyl's "Fax Me Up-Communication" was released in 1995 on the JAM! label under catalog number JAM 662194 6. The release sits within the deep house and electronic genres, and arrived as a vinyl single featuring five versions of the central track spread across two sides.

The A-side opens with a Radio Edit 2 at three minutes and forty-five seconds, making it the most concise version on the record and the one most obviously formatted for broadcast or accessible listening. It is followed by the Acid Jesus' Holy Garage Mix, which runs to seven minutes and forty-nine seconds, and then the 3rd Floor's Dub at six minutes and forty-one seconds. The B-side carries the Burning Vinyl's Parkcafé Mix at seven minutes and twenty-six seconds and closes with the 3rd Floor's San Frandisko Mix at seven minutes and thirteen seconds.

The structure of the release reflects a common approach in mid-1990s club-oriented releases, where a core track would be handed to multiple remixers to produce versions suited to different contexts and dancefloor applications. The involvement of Acid Jesus and 3rd Floor as credited remixers, with 3rd Floor contributing two distinct versions, accounts for the majority of the record's running time. The Burning Vinyl's Parkcafé Mix represents the act's own contribution to the remix sequence alongside the abbreviated radio edit.

At over thirty-three minutes of total running time across the five versions, the release prioritizes range and utility for DJs and collectors interested in deep house material from that period. It remains a documented entry in the JAM! catalog from 1995.
